Candle Care
- It is recommended the first burn of your candle should be at least an hour to provide your candle a full melt pool (from edge to edge of the candle) and every time you burn the candle will help avoid “tunneling”. This will provide you with the most enjoyment and use out of your candle.
- Avoid burning for more than four hours at a time for safety and best results.
- Keep your candle away from drafts, fans, vents, and high traffic areas as a moving flame can create uneven burning.
- Never burn a candle unattended and keep out of reach of children and pets.
- Always trim your wick before each use. Trim your wick to ¼” before lighting your candle. Trimming your wick every time before use will extend the life of your candle. This will help keep your wick centered and provide a clean even burn. Use a wick trimmer for best results. Remember to remove any debris after trimming the wick.
- Stop burning your candle when the wax measures ¼” from the bottom of the vessel. Burning below that can lead to fire hazards such as the vessel breaking, etc.
- Always “snuff” your candle to extinguish the flame. Refrain from blowing a candle out.
- Take care in moving your candle after it has been extinguished. Wait 30 minutes before moving the candle to allow for the wax to cool. Hot melted wax can cause severe burns.
- Some candles are less fragrant than others. If you are not experiencing the aromatic level you are looking for, trying burning in a smaller room for better results. Drafts and high ceilings will cause variations in aromatics.
- Lastly, relax and enjoy the glow, fragrance, and ambiance your candle will provide and the many memories it will create.
